Legal Status

Today the Organisation is Civic non Profit Organisation since 1993

Initially the Organisation was Non Typical Collaboration since 1983

Aims

Gathering data for the cetaceans in Greece / providing nursing in sick or injured cetaceans aiming at their release /

taking dead animals to the morgue for post mortem, taking care for sanitary burial, spotting the burial ground and

making use of the data in the scientific research / taking part in the struggle for protecting biotopes and wild life /

contributing in every legal way in the application and improvement of legislation / sensitization of public opinion /

elaborating studies, planning editions

Provision of care and help to all cetaceans that are in need.

Provision of protection utilizing all possible legal means, which is more effective if the conclusions of the relevant

studies are taken into account

IV. Relations with the Press

Most of the newspapers and ecological journals have promoted the NGO’s activities/ Interviews have been given

mainly to the local press of coastal regions where there have been calls for injured cetaceans in need of nursing.
