The Organisation is Association - Union since 1981

Aims

Informing-sensitizing public opinion in recognizing animal rights – defending the nature’s value without depending

on humans’ interest / banning hunting, prisoning – exploiting animals for shows (circus, zoo gardens)

Banning animal experiments – promoting alternative methods of research / promoting natural diet (vegetarianism)

banning of mega – breeding and mega- aviculture / banning the use of animals for producing goods (furs)

II. Activities

General Issue: Biotope protection.

Issue-Topic: Olympus.

Activities - Results:

Collection of 200 celebrities' signatures with the view to avoiding the sitting of snow centres in Olympus.

Organisation of four demonstration with international participation in Olympus (around 1,000 persons)

Organisation of the first international convent for the protection of mountainous ecosystems (Trikala, 5-7.4.1996)

Collection of 50,000 signatures with the purpose of cancelling the construction of an electricity generation dam, in

the national park.

Awarding of the 'environmental distraction' prize to the Public Electricity Company which is planning the construction

Organisation of various protests at the nearby villages.

Organisation of 40 events at Pindos villages and at nearby schools at areas in the vicinity of the bear's habitat.

Publication of informational material financed by the organisation.

Planting of fruit producing trees at the bear habitat areas.

Release of 5 bears that was captured by gipsies.
