Aims

Spreading ecological ideas by organizing training courses / protecting and conserving native varieties of plants and

animal kinds/ Bringing back and applying environmental friendly techniques

Promoting renewable technology and ecological practice by contacts and communication between people / creation

of ecological farms

The organisation has access to personal computer and it is mainly uses it for Registration of those participating in

the courses / file of biological cultivators

Activities Hall: 20 individuals (in a room of a bookshop)

For the organisation are offering voluntary work: 12 persons.

Remarks: Twelve persons participate in organizing the courses, once in a week / there is a broader circle consisting of

twenty persons

Participation of members of the organisation in environmental education programmes in Thessalonica' s municipalities

including the exhibition of works made by the pupils.

Activities - Results:

Attempt made to cover the gap of ecological practice in the education sector through the organisation of

environmental courses. The subjects of the courses was organic farming and implementation of renewable energy i.e.

solar houses, natural waste management systems. The courses are supplemented with visits to organic farms.

Participation in AGROTICA '95, '96, '97 and '98 by exhibiting organic products, distributing informational brochures

and magazines.

Organisation of and participation in the first and second Pan-Hellenic Organic Agriculture and Handicraft Festival in

Thessalonica and Volos.

Issue-Topic: Promotion and preservation of local plant and animal species

Activities - Results:

Setting up of a network for the preservation and exchange of local plant seeds, without a commercial character.

Participation in a re-sprouting scheme at Krania and Dasoto in collaboration with local agencies. The result was the

greening and biodiversity of the relevant areas.

Publication of an informational leaflet called 'Kivotos' in relation to the preservation and the exchange of local plants

Participation in the publication of the magazine called 'Nea Selini' in relation to the following issues: 1) organic

farming, 2) alternative technology, 3) Medicine without drug consumption, and 4) constructions.
