Cleaning of beaches by pupils from Aggelochorio

Lodging a protest to the municipal council of Nea Michniona against the pollution caused to Thermnaikos from a waste

Our organisation had its won stand in the Michaniotika '95 festival organised by the municipality.

Activities - Results:

Lodging a series of complaints to the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with the Ecological Movement of

Thessalonica in favour of the protection of Agelochrio estuary which is in danger by the construction of a sports field,

banking up activities and illegal buildings around the coastline.

The same issue is dangerously pending as a result of the forthcoming fixing of the estuary's boundaries.

Bringing charges against the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with the Ecological Movement of

Thessalonica in relation to the cancellation of banking up an important river stream in Nea Michniona

Submission of a proposal to the Prefecture and the Ministry of Thrace-Macedonia, for the diversion of a stream

Printing the school paper based on a project regarding the Megalo Emvolo estuary in Aggelochori, carried out by the

pupils of the local school.

Printing the school paper based on a project on the environmental history of Nea Kerasia carried out by the pupils of

Nea Kerasia school.

Printing the school paper based on a project on the cultural inheritance of Karnagio in Nea Michaniona carried out by

the pupils of the local school, forming part of the requirements for the environmental education class.

Bringing a charge against the cutting of trees from the Nea Michaniona municipality and submission of a proposal for

undertaking tree-planting.

Submission of a proposal regarding the pedestrianization of roads and the construction of pedestrian zones at Nea

Michniona and Epanomi.

Lodging of complaints to the Prefectural Department of Technical Services regarding the bad condition of the roads in

the East coast of Thessalonica.
