Legal Status

Today the Organisation is Association - Union since 1996

Initially the Organisation was Non Typical Collaboration since 1995

Aims

To inform and sensitize the members and the citizens on subjects of spatial and regional planning and their direct

or indirect effect on the environment / to promote feelings of responsibility, altruism and social offer. The

organization deals with environmental problems on the prefecture,

through their members’ activities and in collaboration with other institutions.

II. Activities

General Issue: Conservation of the cultural heritage

The municipal council approved the implementation of a regeneration plan for the Agia Pelagia church precinct (Meseo

The project was partly cancelled due to our organisation's intervention to the Byzantine Antiquities Trusteeship.

In addition to the lodging of an appeal, the organisation published articles to the local and Athenian press,

participated in radio programmes and distributed informational brochures.

VI. Relations with others ENGO

Future plans

Immediate goal of the NGO’s administrative board assembly is to communicate with other environmental

organizations in order to settle the problems of Western Samos.
