Aims

Scientific study on local environmental problems (natural, aesthetics, cultural) / providing in any possible way

means to institutions and individuals for protecting the environment.

Government and local administration and every one responsible are being brought under pressure for legislating

laws for the protection and improvement of the environment / Fighting against any one responsible for

General Issue: Development of ecological conscience

Activities - Results:

Lodging of an appeal to the State Council for the cancellation of the fuel tanks extension to Asteria area and of the

construction of new tanks in Tsiggeli.

Lodging of a charge to the Public Prosecutor concerning the pollution from olive-oil presses' toxic waste which

resulted in the commitment of the local government to stop the flow of waste in 1995.

Following a proposal submitted by the organisation, around 31 environmental NGOs submitted a petition with which

the cancellation of the sitting of fish farms in the gulf was asked

banks which result in flood formation.
