The seminar aims to empower participants:

a) the "connection" of theory and empirical research,
b) understanding the methodology of quantitative research
c) the use of statistical packages and
d) the use of new tools for conducting online surveys.

In particular, the participants are expected to acquire through a fast and coherent seminar the basic skills and competencies required for the successful planning and thorough elaboration of a research using quantitative methodologies. Participants will be trained to use online data collection tools (LimeSurvey) and statistical data processing packages. Necessary, for a more complete understanding of the material, is the elaboration of relevant practical exercises assigned by the speakers. At the end of the seminar the participants are expected to be able to formulate a complete research plan, to conduct the research on their own using an electronic or printed questionnaire, to process the data in the statistical package and to come to test conclusions regarding the research questions have set. The cycle lasts 8 weeks and includes 40 hours of practice and theory. Classes are held on Saturdays and hours 10 a.m. at 3 p.m. in the Computer laboratory of EKKE.
