EU Network of independent experts on Social Inclusion

The Network of Independent Experts on Social Inclusion assists the European Commission by providing independent information and expert assessment on any significant national development relevant to social inclusion. EKKE’s research team, which constitutes a member of the Network for Greece, has undertaken the task to systematically monitor the implementation and to assess the impact of the Greek “National Action Plans for Social Inclusion” in the framework of the National Reform Programme. It involves the collection and analysis of relevant data and information and the compilation of thematic studies and assessment reports addressed to the competent services of the European Commission. The main Reports for 2012-2013 concerned the following issues: a) assessment of progress towards the Europe 2020 objectives for combating poverty and social exclusion, b) assessment of the implementation of EC Recommendation on Active Inclusion and c) country Profile: Social Policy Developments and the social impact of the crisis.
