Efthymia Makridou is a researcher at the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE), Greece. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Paris 8 Vincennes–Saint-Denis University, completed in collaboration with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). She has participated in several international and national research projects. She has held academic teaching positions in France at University Paris 8 Vincennes–Saint-Denis and University of Lille, as well as in Greece at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has co-edited a thematic journal issue and an edited volume in French focusing on care work.
